The New Zealand Mining Board of Examiners (the Board) has reviewed the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements as part of its responsibility under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 to issue, renew, cancel and suspend Certificates of Competence (CoC).
The Board sought feedback on the proposed changes and industry feedback/suggestions on potential transitional arrangements for any changes.

The following document sets out the changes to the CPD requirements the Board proposes to make as a recommendation to WorkSafe.
Feedback was welcomed from individuals, businesses and industry associations.

Deadline for feedback
The deadline for accepting submissions was 9:00 am on 1 July 2019.
Official Information Act
WorkSafe is subject to the Official Information Act 1982, which means that submissions may be made available to those seeking information under that Act.
