The Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances—Additional Substances that Do Not Require Tracking) Safe Work Instruments remove the tracking requirement for certain hazardous substances.

Regulation 19.3 allows a safe work instrument to add a hazardous substance to table 3 in Schedule 26 of the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017 (the Regulations). Substances in table 3 are not required to comply with the tracking provisions in Part 19 of the Regulations.

Three substances have been added to the Regulations* by a safe work instrument under regulation 19.3. These are:
