Three Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances—Additional Substances that Do Not Require Tracking) Safe Work Instruments remove the tracking requirement for certain hazardous substances.

  • Part 19 of the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017 (the Regulations) covers requirements to track hazardous substances.
  • Substances that are not required to comply with the tracking provisions in Part 19 are listed in Table 3 (in Schedule 26)(external link) of the Regulations.

Regulation 19.3 allows a safe work instrument to “add” a hazardous substance that does not require tracking to Table 3. The three substances identified below are now included in Table 3.
