WorkSafe New Zealand has granted an exemption (MHF2501) to Koppers Performance Chemicals New Zealand Limited from compliance with clause 19 of Schedule 7 of the Health and Safety at Work (Major Hazard Facilities) Regulations 2016 in so far as this clause requires a statement on a safety case to be signed by the most senior officer of the operator in New Zealand for the site located at 14 Mayo Road, Wiri, Auckland 2104.

WorkSafe New Zealand has granted an exemption (SEP2404) to Flint Group NZ Limited from compliance with regulation 11.29(1) for their flammable liquids store [only in respect of the requirement for a building that is Type D storage specified in regulation 11.29(2)(d) to have a certain fire resistance rating for the building (as it applies to the walls, roof and doors)]​ of the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017 in relation to their flammable liquids store at 6 Burrett Avenue, Penrose, Auckland.

WorkSafe has amended exemption SEP2010 granted to Amcor Flexibles (New Zealand) Limited (Amcor) on 10 February 2023 in relation to compliance with regulation 11.36(2) of the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017.  This amendment (SEP2010A) concerns the fire resistance rating requirement of the walls in the printing hall and laminating hall of Amcor’s facility located at 74 Brandon Street, Christchurch.
