Make sure you are familiar with the seven steps for doing asbestos-related work safely as explained in these guidelines before doing any asbestos-related work.

For the purposes of the information sheets listed below, asbestos-related work means maintenance activities and servicing work (for example, minor repairs or alterations, encapsulation or sealing), that may disturb asbestos or cause asbestos fibres to be released into the air. This does not include any work related to refurbishment, demolition, or removal of asbestos or asbestos-containing material (ACM).
