Investigation report 

If you would like to request information about an incident where you were injured and WorkSafe investigated, we recommend you make your request under the Official Information Act rather than the Privacy Act. While personal information is contained within investigation documentation, other information will also relate to WorkSafe and other third parties.

Official information

The Official Information Act (OIA) allows New Zealand citizens and permanent residents, or anyone who has a company in New Zealand, to request official information from public organisations.

Official Information Act response performance

Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission and the Office of the Ombudsman have a programme to improve transparency of decisions made under the Official Information Act.
