The cooker is believed to come in two pieces - the burner head as one piece, and the tap module as the other. Looking at the burn patterns in the photographs supplied the leak may have come from the join of the two pieces, rather than between the burner and the canister. The person assembling the cooker failed to test for leaks before igniting.
