If more than one person was injured, answer in relation to the worst injury. The treatment options are:

They were admitted into hospital

They were admitted to hospital as an inpatient, not just treated by the A&E department. It doesn’t matter how long they were admitted for.
This selection also applies if they were treated by an army surgeon or by a specialist where no hospital is available.
This does not include corrective surgery at a later time, such as straightening a broken nose.

They were treated as an outpatient

They had urgent medical treatment but did not need to be admitted into hospital.
Outpatients may get treatment from a paramedic, nurse, doctor, A&E department or specialist services at a clinic.

They received first aid

First aid can include cleaning minor cuts, scrapes, or scratches; treating a minor burn; applying bandages and dressings; the use of non-prescription medicine; draining blisters; removing debris from the eyes; massage; and drinking fluids to relieve heat stress.
It's often a one-time, short-term treatment and requires little technology or specialist training to administer, and is usually administered at the same place where the injury or illness happened.

They didn’t receive treatment

They had a serious injury or illness that needed immediate treatment, but they didn't get it.
They may not have had treatment because of their religious beliefs or culture, eg refused a blood transfusion or declined treatment from a doctor of the opposite gender.
