Quad bikes: A look at the safety behaviour of accident victims

In late 2010 a campaign to reduce harm resulting from the use of quad bikes began. Quad bikes are widely used on New Zealand farms for work and non-work purposes. Unless ridden safely and correctly, quad bike use can result in serious and fatal injuries. The social and economic costs of such injuries are high.

PLEASE NOTE

On Monday 4 April 2016, the New Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSWA) came into effect.

HSWA repeals the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992, with immediate effect.

All references to the 1992 Act on this website and within our guidance will be progressively removed.
