Working Together

The only way we are going to change New Zealand's poor health and safety record and create healthier and safer work environments, is by working together to manage risks.

Working together is about:

  • businesses having stronger worker engagement and participation practices in place for workers to easily share ideas and information, raise issues or concerns, and contribute to decision making about health and safety.
  • workers taking reasonable care of their own health and safety, ensuring their actions don’t cause harm to others. And speaking up when something isn’t healthy or safe.
  • businesses cooperating, consulting and coordinating activities when they’re working together at the same location to keep workers and others healthy and safe.
